Breaking down official 2023-24 Sacramento Kings schedule

Kings earn 22 national tv games in official schedule

Thanks for visiting The Kings Beat, an independent credentialed news source covering the Sacramento Kings. We have plenty of new exciting upgrades to the site, including a comments section that has been added to the bottom of the posts. Feel free to chime in and thanks for supporting The Kings Beat!

On Wednesday, our sources had the Sacramento Kings playing a total of 10 national television games, including five TNT, four ESPN and a single NBA TV game. That was just a preliminary number.

According to the final version of the NBA schedule, Sacramento is in line to play six games on TNT (4 home, 2 road), five games on ESPN (2 home, 3 road) and a whopping 11 games on NBATV (10 home, 1 road) for a total of 22 nationally televised games.

In what could be considered a hat tip to the Golden 1 Center crowd, 16 of the team’s national games are on the Kings’ home court.

The Kings open the 2023-24 season on the road at the Delta Center against the Utah Jazz on Oct. 25. They travel back to Sacramento after the game to face the Golden State Warriors for their home opener on Oct. 27.

There are some variables that still need to play out with the In-Season Tournament, which opens the door for even more national exposure. After posting a 48-34 season last year, the NBA seems to be buying what the Kings are selling.

Here are some interesting tidbits from the 2023-24 schedule:
