For the first time in over a year, the Sacramento Kings are spiraling.

After dropping a pair of games to end last week, the Kings stretched the streak of futility to four with another set of losses over the last few days.

Sacramento looked primed to take home a third victory over the Phoenix Suns on Tuesday, leading the home team by 22 points in the fourth quarter. When the Suns turned up the pressure, the Kings didn’t respond, falling by a final of 119-117.

Grayson Allen couldn’t miss from long range, dropping 29 points on the Kings on 9-of-16 from deep. Kevin Durant finished with 27 points, including a pair of free throws with 1.6 seconds remaining that gave Phoenix the deciding lead.

Malik Monk had a good look at a 3-pointer to win the game, but it bounced off the iron, leaving the Kings frustrated and searching for answers.

De’Aaron Fox led the way with 33 points and six assists. Domantas Sabonis chipped in a 21-point, 12-rebound, 11-assist triple-double and Keegan Murray added 18 points. Sasha Vezenkov also notched a career-high 14 points off the bench in the loss.
