Weekly Record: 1-2

Season Record: 9-6

The Kings walked into New Orleans riding a six game win streak and came out of a two game stretch bruised and battered.

In the first matchup this week against the Pelicans, it was all Zion Williamson and Brandon Ingram. Williamson couldn’t be stopped from going left for 26 points and Ingram started hitting his jumper, finishing with 31 points as New Orleans thumped the Kings for a 129-93 win.

No one on the Kings broke the 20-point barrier as the Kings fell to 8-5 on the season.

Game No. 2 against the Pelicans had a very different feel, even if the result was the same. They played without Keegan Murray, who missed the game with a sore back. Without Murray, Ingram had another solid game, posting 23 points. Williamson added 25 and Jonas Valanciunas chipped in 15 points and 11 rebounds.

The Kings countered with 26 points from De’Aaron Fox, 23 points from Domantas Sabonis and another 22 points from Harrison Barnes, but it wasn’t enough. Sacramento made it interesting, but dropped a second straight at Smoothie King, this one by a final of 117-112.
