Before we dive into the week that was, I would like to extend a big Happy Holidays to all of our supporters here at The Kings Beat. I took a couple of days to catch my breath as we ramble through a busy schedule and I’m excited to see how this version of the Sacramento Kings traverses the final 54 games of the season.

The week started with a matchup against the lowly Washington Wizards. In standard fashion, Kyle Kuzma and Jordan Poole put up big numbers for a team near the bottom of the Eastern Conference standings, but the game itself wasn’t competitive.

Led by 30 points from De’Aaron Fox and a monstrous 28-point, 13-rebound, 12-assist triple-double from Domantas Sabonis, the Kings rolled the Wizards by a final of 143-131. The Kings let off the gas late, making the score look more reasonable than it was.

After posting a career-high 47 points in the Kings’ previous game, Keegan Murray chipped in 25 points and five rebounds. Harrison Barnes added 19 points on 8-of-11 shooting.
