Weekly Record: 2-1

Season Record: 33-24

After a huge win over the Denver Nuggets heading into the All-Star break, the Sacramento Kings continued their strong play to open the stretch run with a 127-122 win over the San Antonio Spurs on Thursday.

Domantas Sabonis dominated the action, pushing rookie Victor Wembanyama around for a 22-point, 11-rebound, 11-assist triple-double. De’Aaron Fox looked refreshed after a week off, finishing with 28 points and nine assists. Kevin Huerter and Malik Monk each chipped in 21 points to help push the Kings to victory.

Despite getting out-dueled by Sabonis, Wembanyama posted an impressive 19-point, 13-rebound, 4-assist, 5-steal, 5-block line. He’s definitely the next big thing in the NBA, even if he takes a few seasons to get there.
