Week in review: Kings falter against former teammates without Fox

Kings forced to play without Fox in matchup in Indy

Kings record: 29-22

Kings record on the week: 2-1

After a bit of a stumble to open the road trip last week, the Kings evened the season series with the Timberwolves on Sunday with a rousing 118-111 overtime victory at the Target Center.

De'Aaron Fox put on a show, scoring 32 points and handing out five assists for Sacramento. Domantas Sabonis notched another double-double before fouling out late, and rookie Keegan Murray matched the feat with a 13-point, 13-rebound performance.

The starters were solid, but head coach Mike Brown received huge contributions from a pair of bench players in Malik Monk and Trey Lyles. Monk attacked the paint, coming away with 19 points and five assists in 32 minutes of action. Lyles stepped in late in the game and carried the Kings as a makeshift center in the overtime session.

Anthony Edwards led the T-Wolves with 33 points and eight rebounds. Rudy Gobert added 19 points and 14 rebounds, but it wasn't enough to stop the Kings from picking up a big win on the road.
