Three blowouts and a buzzer beater.

The Sacramento Kings hit the road for a five game set away from Golden 1 Center this last week. Four games in and we’ve seen a little bit of everything.

It started in Detroit where the lowly Pistons gave the Kings a scare early but folded down the stretch. Monte Williams’ crew went off in the first quarter, scoring 47 points in the first 12 minutes to take an 18-point lead into the second quarter. As quickly as the lead was built, it disappeared.

Led by another dominant 37-point, 13-assist, 10-rebound triple-double from Domantas Sabonis and a breakout 32 points from Keegan Murray, the Kings recovered to blow out the Pistons by a final of 131-110.

De’Aaron Fox added 26 points and Malik Monk chipped in 20 off the Kings’ bench to help wash the taste of a bad home loss to the Pelicans off the team’s palate.

The young tandem of Jalen Duran and Jaden Ivey put up numbers and veteran Bojan Bogdanovic was nearly unguardable, but the Kings were the aggressors after a rough start.
