That purple blur is the Sacramento Kings flying up the standings. Winners of five straight, the Kings have gone from a team searching for their identity, to the hottest club in the Western Conference.

This week’s festivities kicked off on Monday with the return of De’Aaron Fox from injury and a battle against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Fox took a minute to get his sea legs, but he responded well in his return, posting 28 points and six assists in the team’s 132-120 win.

Fox wasn’t the only member of the starting lineup to shine against a long and athletics Cavs squad. Keegan Murray knocked down 5-of-9 from long range on his way to 25 points and eight rebounds. Domantas Sabonis added a 23-point, 10-assist, 9-rebound near triple-double and Kevin Huerter dropped in six triples on his way to 20 points.

Donovan Mitchell led Cleveland with 22 points and Caris LeVert chipped in 21 off the bench, but the Kings never trailed in front of their home crowd.
